Backflow

Professional Plumbing Sewer & Drain Company is who you call when Backflow Prevention becomes an issue for your home or business.

What is Backflow?

our water provider is designed to keep the water flowing from the distribution system to your home or business. When there is a sudden reduction in the water pressure in the distribution system, which can occur during fire-fighting or when a water main breaks, water flow can be reversed. This can create a suction effect, drawing potential contaminates into the potable water distribution system.

Backflow Installation

Pro Plumbers can install backflow prevention assemblies. We acquire the appropriate permits required to install or replace these assemblies. Generally, the backflow prevention assembly must be located as close as possible to the potable water service connection, but it must remain on private property.

Annual backflow inspection

The backflow prevention assembly must be in proper operating condition at all times. Backflow prevention assemblies must be tested annually, so Professional Plumbing Sewer & Drain Company can schedule required yearly inspections when form is received from city. Your water provider sends notices to customers reminding them when the annual test is due. Professional Plumbing Sewer & Drain Company is an approved certified tester that can perform the test. If any repair work or maintenance is performed on the assembly, we retest the assembly immediately and submit the test results to your water provider.
